Blueberry Boat - Fiery Furnaces (The) (CD 2004)

This was the first Fiery Furnaces release I ever heard and man did it blow me away. It's so layered with countless instruments and vocal techniques it's amazing. Really, there's so many references and comedic moments you just have to laugh sometimes. It has surprises left and right and you will want to listen to it again whether you like it or not. It's pop music, really, though. Just listen and listen closely to the lyrics and see if you get the references. I barely got any of them. But it's still a marvelous listen. Oh yes!
