Blue Skies takes you on a journey through your childhood, from the very first childhood days and "Dreams" to those teenage years where you just "wished the world would spin faster"... takes you through the times we faced relationship problems in "Go On and Cry" and continues through struggling moods with "Till You Want Me" "Boy Like You" and "All I Never Wanted." Ending with the melancholy "Don't Cry Out Loud." Which DeGarmo soars in. Incredible voice range, and a pleasure to listen to. Definitely one of my favorites. Fantastic album.
In "Blue Skies" Diana shows why she was a finalist on American Idol, and she also shows that America chose well in not selecting her as the winner. This album starts off strong with tracks like "Cardboard Castles" and "Blue Skies" but by the end of this I was hearing Simon Cowell saying things like: "karaoke" and "cheesy showtunes" in my head. Maybe with better lyrics her talents would be more clearly showcased. C+ on this one, Di.
I really enjoy listening to my Diana DeGarma CD. Her voice is so pure and strong. She has some really good hits on this CD as well. I would recomend buying her CD.
What I like about this album is the honest heart driven vocal that Diana brings to this project. I decide to buy the album because of the fantastic performance that she gave on American Idol.
