Pros:
Great Lyrics,pretty consistent.
Cons:
The acoustic guitar and minimal drums template on this LP doesn't offer any surprises.
Of all the albums Johnny Cash made in the 60's this may be the most overlooked(not the best though). This is a concept album,like "Ride This Train" and "Bitter Tears" but instead of Trains and Aboriginals this album is about the choices a poor man has in life(working until your back breaks or rotting in jail),with some trains mixed in. "The Legend of John Henry's Hammer" This is a story about a hammer swinger that gets replaced by a steam drill. He eventually has a race with the steam drill leaving it in his dust showing that "you can't replace a steel driving man". 8 minutes long and the...
