Blood Diamond (2007, Blu-ray Disc)

I first watched this movie on regular dvd. I liked it so much that i got it on the blu-ray disc. The picture and sound are far more better. Everything about this movie is good. The acting is very well done. Not to mention the most important thing of all the history of this movie is very accurate.

Pros: Solid acting, True facts, Nice action scenes, Educational

Cons: Maybe a little long for some

Overall i think this is a great movie that wakes people up to the fact of what's going on in the world. Blood shed over conflict diamonds is very real to this day. Not to mention that many countries still use child soldiers and they say that their is over 20,000 child soldiers being used in army's in some country's Africa, Columbia, Korea, Iraq to name some. So for the educational purpose and the true facts along with the good acting. This movie would get a 9/10 stars.

It's a good DVD. The Price is better than buying it in stores or anywhere else. The DVD is brand new and no problem with it.

An excellent movie and very revealing of the story behind conflict diamonds. I am not a big fan of Leo D. but have to admit that his latest movies "Gangs of New York", "The Departed" and "Blood Diamonds" have shown that he has grown and matured as an actor. Blood Diamond pulls you right into the drama from the start to the finish. Even the clarity of the movie on blu-ray is outstanding. Most definately a worth while purchase.

I would rate the overall movie an 8/10. The characters are believable, the cinematography is wonderful, and the plot keeps you entertained. The movie is a bit longer than your average film, but not overly drawn-out. I would rate the video quality a 8/10. The transfer to blu-ray is rather crisp. Great quality! I would rate the audio quality an 9/10. The PCM track sounds crystal clear, but only comes in 5.1 format (7.1 format and it would've been perfect). The surround speakers aren't engaged all that often aside from the occasional shoot-out, but the soundtrack pumping through all 5 speakers really draws you into the film.

I would absolutely recommend the purchase!

Realistic view of the diamond trade, leo is a great actor. The scenes and costumes were extremely realistic and the film was action-packed and will surely leave you on the edge of your seat.

I found this movie educational and disturbing. I really didn't know that this type of thing went on. So it really opened my eyes and I think everyone should see it once. The cast did a great job.

i like the story line its the truth. its just an overall great movie with a great amount of action and drama one of his best movies in a long time
