Where is the Voice Acting. I know it was Bad, but it is better than Reading.
I tried this as a Demo on the 360.
I bought it for my PS3.
I Returned it.
First off the Sixaxis Tilt function to Drive the Plane was way cool.
But this was killed when I started the Campaign.
My Wingmen did not talk to me, there was only text on the Screen of them Talking to me.
OK, How do I keep a bandit in my site, Not Hit a building, and Read Line after Line of Text???
A lot of Mission Instructions come over the Radio from your Wingmen.
I checked the Options, Tried Turning Subtitles Off. Nothing.
This makes this Game Unplayable in the Campaign Mode.

First, let me tell you that I am an aerospace engineer and actually work on REAL aircraft simulators. Therefore, I am very skeptical of games that claim to be an aircraft simulation.
Blazing Angels is somewhat entertaining and provides some information to WWII from an American pilot's standpoint. Some historical facts, but definitely not a history tutorial.
The sixaxis motion control is very refreshing to the typical console game-based flight "simulation" game. (I also work with aircraft flight controls.) Sony definitely dropped the ball when removing the rumble feedback in the controller. This was a major loss in my opinion. The wireless/bluetooth feature is nice, however.
The storyline of Blazing Angels keeps you going and will engulf you into the feeling of an American pilot in WWII, but this is quickly watered-down when the action begins.
The game is exactly that - a game. This is not realistic in physics based aircraft motion - it's better than nothing, but not close to the real thing at all. The controller does help out in trying to pull you into the game and the fast-paced action of piloting some of the finest aircraft ever developed - even in today's high-tech jet world.
This game is great if you just want to turn on the PS3, jump into the action and play a flight game, shoot down some bad guys, and then turn it off to interact with the real world. But to REALLY get into the feel of flight simulation, a PC-based flight simulator game is best. With that, you have more control over the aircraft, its systems, and a slew of weapons. Real weapons aren't fired or released with one push of a button, by the way. An offshoot of Jane's All the World Aircraft had a company (it's no longer) that produced some of the most realistic and stunningly graphical simulator games. I guess that was too much for today's gamer that wants to just play an arcade game.
Online play is better than most games, but the interface really needs some work. Searching for others to play can be frustrating, but it can be done. Once in a game, whether it's a versus or a co-op game, it is fun. The many different types of games in the online play is a bit much, but it does provide choices for different types of gamers.
So, if you like arcade flight games, then this is the game for you. You'll love the sixaxis controller and the graphics of this game. If you're into realism and the true feeling of flight, then this is not for you. I rate this game BELOW AVERAGE because I expect realism in a flight game. This game just skirts above the POOR rating because some of the online play is fun. Playing against other real people online is always more fun than playing the main game by yourself.

The game when it first came out for the PS3 platform offers the sixaxis tilt motion sensing into the game. This adds a new twist to flying simulation games like ace combat series. Other than typical campaign modes, the arcade mode offers the players some expansion towards the campaign mode planes while mini-games are the cherry on top for those who finished the campaign. multiplayer adds fun when friends come over. The flight controls and the camera do need some time for adjustment, but this game will keep you busy for a while.

If you like to hear your guns blazing but have smaller kids in the house and odn't want all that blood and guts, this might be something to try. The flying isn't that hard and the graffics are pretty good. The missions are fairly easy but hard enough for a challenge. On-line play is OK but not that many players on line for this one, probably since they came out with a newer version. I'd give it a go if you can buy one around $20.

The graphics are ok, 720p, details are ... decent ... but could be a little better. Gameplay is solid, responses are 90% proportional to the actual stick-handling, physics could be a little better, trees do not affect your plane at all, building poligons loose texture every once in a while, might be the processor slowing down, or just poor design. Plane physics is accurate, details show that there has been a lot of work put into designing them, so the contrast between planes and scenary does point out where the work went from the design team. Sound FX are very good, no Dolby, even if it is advertised with Dolby. The overall experience of the gameplay is that fact that it keeps you entertained in your seat, found myself playing for 6 hours straight, it's a very forgiving game, restarts are available from checkpoints, so it will keep you hooked if you're the "determined" type. Campaign mode seem a lot more entertaining then the other two modes, but a "roam-free, kill-all" mode would be welcomed for the "veteran/adrenaline junkie". Would like to see that add-on's will the producer roll-out for this game. All-in-all, a nice game, don't regret the 40$ spent on it, I predict 1 month of game-play before I get bored and toss it in the pile with my other games.

Fun, very very challenging. Missions take good technique but stradegy as well. Its online mode is very addictive. All in all there are some drawbacks, but its pretty darn good.

Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII for the Ps3 is an excellent game. The graphics are awsome. Also you can fly using the sinaxis controller without pressing any buttons. There are tons of different missions in single play, and this game will last for numerous hours. The game however, is a bit challenging. If you are into flying games and love to blow stuff up this is a must have.

This game is brilliant. It is definately one of the best Playstation 3 games out there. I recommened that anyone who has a Playstation 3 go pick this up. Also if you're not buying this game because you didn't like the Xbox 360 version, you're making the wrong move. This game isn't even the same as the Xbox version. The Xbox 360 is a terrible system therefore mostly all the games that come out for it are terrible also.

It's good to see some games come out that aren't so mindless. Kids could actually learn from this one, if they don't skip over the storyline parts. The storyline is fairly accurate, and the gameplay is extremely challenging at times. If you're the kind of person (like me) who gets hooked on a game and plays it nonstop until you end up beating it in a week, then this game's for you. But, I will say this game is very hard, and you probably won't beat it fast, unless you don't have a job!! Worth having, definitely more challenging than Resistance, which I thought was way too easy.
