Blades of Steel (Nintendo)

This is probably the only hockey game that i've enjoyed playing. Like most who enjoy Nintendo, the graphics and style of the game are what I enjoy most.

Good Product, Good Price. The cartridge was a little old and yellow, but that was expected. LukieGames is an excellent seller to deal with. They once accidentally sent me the wrong game (they sent me Super Tecmo Bowl, instead of Tecmo Bowl). They let me keep the game they sent, AND they sent me the original game I wanted free of charge, and with absolutely no hassle whatsoever. Customer Service was perfect.

I remember this as a great game growing up. Konami has always realeased games that turned out to great fun with little to get angry about and this was no exception. "Blades of Steel!", anounces the title screen, something very rare for video games of the time. Considering it came out in 1988, the graphics are very detailed and the moves look realistic. It is easy to shoot and pass with pretty good acuracy. The fact that the person you control is flashing very quickly helps immeditely identify who you are. There is a really neat close-up screen when a fight breaks out on the ice where you get to duke it out with the other team. Detailed action screens also finish off the penalty shots that break-out adding a great effect to the shot. A lot of time was put into the extras of this game and it really shows. This really is one of the most fun hockey games ever. PEACE*LOVE*ONE

The item listed didn't say that the game cartridge was dented by what appears to be a DOG-BITE. I got it to work, but the game usually freezes before you can finish a whole hockey match. Weak, I say.

I used to play this all the time as a kid an decided to buy it. While the fighting is fun and so are the penalty shots, the game is real easy to beat.

THE GAME IS AN ORIGINAL NES SYSTEM CARTRIDGE. I BOUGHT IT MORE OR SO FOR THE MEMORIES FROM WHEN I WAS A KID, MY COUSIN AND I SPENT HOURS PLAYING ON IT, IT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST GAMES EVERY THAT YOU COULD ACTUALLY GET INTO A FIGHT IN SPORTS. IT IS DEFINATELY A JUMP BACK FROM X-BOX 360, BUT IT IS STILL JUST AS FUN AS THE DAY IT CAME OUT. AND THERE ARE MANY MEMORIES THAT COME BACK WITH THE OLD GAMES. IT WAS ALMOST A MUST BY, THE GAME CAME IN PERFECT CONDITION, NOT IN A BOX.. BUT STILL EXCELLENT CONDITION, I HAD FAST SHIPMENT AND NO PROBLEM RECIEVING IT.. BOTH I AND THE SELLER LEFT GREAT COMMENTARY

What did I like? That I could find the games I purchased.What I disliked about it was two of the games did not work and I had to call one of the seller to get one of the games, in the first place. I don`t know what to do about the two games that do not work,but because of buying them on ebay I would not purchaes any thing else that way, not a good way to do business leaves to customer holding a bag of goods.I knew doing purchases on ebay was not a good idea.

this is a classic hockey game..you have your pick of teams,and tournaments, one player or two..this was a great game in my day and i still have a blast playing it..the best part of the game is when you get to square off and fight!! the loser get sent to the penalty box and your on the power play..two thumbs up from me!
