Somewhere in the midst of this sinking ship is a story that wants to be told. A story about troubled danger-enthusiasts who escape their dramatic lives through fast-paced motorcycle racing. But what we get instead is a confused movie that doesn't understand the genre. It doesn't understand its targeted audience, and it doesn't understand, that pumped up movies aren't supposed to put you to sleep. Biker Boyz was promoted as a contemporary Western on wheels with desperados who live every day on the edge. In reality, it s more of an unintentional comedy, although the thought of wasting $6 to see this movie is not as funny. This isn t The Fast and the Furious on bikes; if it were, Vin Diesel s powerful voice might justify tolerating the horrible dialog, lame plot or poor acting. BIKER BOYZ is a DreamWorks Pictures presentation, rated PG-13 for violence, sexual content and language. The run time is 110 minutes and its American release date was January 31, 2003. INTRODUCTION When January Junk 2003 ended, all we got left with was dreck. I think it was that same year a lot of critics and celebrities (including Britney "I don't understand this movie" Spears) were celebrating the movies at Sundance in Park City whereas people around the globe were subjected to JUST MARRIED, DARKNESS FALLS and NATIONAL SECURITY, movies released cynically by big name studios despite the fact.

Not for the pseudo-amphetamine rush crowd that Fast and Furious jacked into with such marketing aplomb, Biker Boyz follows a fairly refreshing road, toning down the action/racing/chasing and turning up the family drama. Okay, so it's a different taste. How good is it? The ingredients have potential, but Biker Boyz doesn't mix them very well.
