Ben-Hur (1996, VHS)

Excellent!! Excellent movie deserves a 5 star rating all the way. It's little wonder this movie received so many awards. This movie depicts all facets of life, in love, hate, betrayal, innocents, passion, loyalty, and faith just to name a few. Yet, the one greatest lesson learned, is that regardless of position, life can take ANYONE at ANYTIME down unknown paths. No matter how rough, uncertain or grievous the road of life becomes it has a reason, purpose and eventually an end. Although a fine young man of great integrity and ability, Ben Hur comes to realize the ultimate peace and purpose in life was available only by meeting and knowing his Creator in human form. Jesus known only as a stranger to Ben Hur was always there when no one else would or could help this young man face life's unfairness and cruelty. Times have not changed. When a person is flat on his back with nowhere else to look but up, they soon realize that Jesus was not so far away after all. Perhaps Ben Hur heard the words,"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) This is a must see movie for young and old alike. There is not another movie quite like it. You will not be disappointed!
