Pros: a few stellar moments, Eric's guitar work is good as always
Cons: a lot of boring and unengaging tracks
It s doubtful that there is a more influential mainstream blues or blues rock guitarist in the modern era than Eric Clapton. Yet you rarely ever hear anyone talk about his albums as much as his individual songs. That s not to say that he doesn t have a number of classic songs from his solo career or his various bands of the 60 s and 70 s. But, with the possible exception of his unplugged album, you don t hear an Eric Clapton album title when discussing the one who is called I Am.
