Hello, My opinion of the quality of the CD was excellent! It came in a timely manner and was in perfect condition. I have enjoyed the CD and Amy Grant is one of my favorite Christian artists. The seller, whom I can't remember, gave an exact description of the music, it's mood, tone and delivery. Though this CD was written while Amy Grant was going thru a difficult period in her life I found that I could relate to the music. As far as eBay's handleing of connecting the seller and I with PayPal it was flawless. I enjoy purchasing from eBay and look forward to continued business with this seller and many others in the future. Best Regards, Linda
The music...poignant. The lyrics...powerful. Amy out-did herself on this album. This is my favorite of hers, and it succinctly showcases her talent for getting to the heart of whatever issue it is that she chooses to sing about. Although I am a great fan of all her music, there is a maturity in "Behind the Eyes" that has not previously surfaced in her other works. You can almost feel the sadness in her reflective songs about missing the happiness from her past, and the way things "used to be" in her life. Even through the wistfulness, the listener still is reminded of Amy's faith. The candid quality of the lyrics to her songs leaves an indelibly bittersweet impression on your soul. I cannot recommend this album enough.
This album is very solid, it flows very well. Her best, hands down. I like the more acoustic feel to it (much more-so than her previous albums). All-in-all, it is well worth many listens.
A beuatiful album by the lovely and talented Amy Grant !

Amy Grant Behind the Eyes-Cry Me a River

Pros: It's Amy Grant
Cons: Dang, it's just plain sad
Hi I m Chris B. and I m an Amy Grant addict. I m not proud, I ll admit it. In many circles that s not a good thing. Some of the contemporary Christian music community has bashed Amy Grant for a number of the decisions she s made in her career. Regardless of the choices she s made, it s not influenced her amazing voice and the quality of her music. The Product: Amy Grant Behind the Eyes is a very placid and mellow album. After being in the industry for over twenty years, and basically creating Christian Contemporary music, Amy Grant got herself into a groove with Behind the Eyes. I have a...
Anybody who is as die hard an Amy Grant fan as I am will testify to the sometimes eternal wait between her albums. I was just going into seventh grade when Behind the Eyes was released. Now, as I wait for Amy's next studio album I'm planning my high school graduation. It's been that long since a studio album (not counting Christmas or Hymns). Behind the Eyes. What an appropriate title. From the time the disc begins through the last of the 11 songs the listener really gets a picture of Amy Grant. A snapshot at the Christian Pop Queen's life at that time. And it wasn't exactly a pretty picture..

Sincerity in Simplicity.

Pros: sincere. honest. The Amy of Lead me on, not Heart in Motion
Cons: trite lyrics...too much folk.
Nothing has made me regret leaving Christianity more than Amy Grant. I never perceived anything but sincerity from her, and I must say I still have a soft spot and a certain degree of admiration for her. "Behind the Eyes" is obviously widely different from "Heart in Motion" and "House of Love", but if you've seen most of her 20 year career, you'll realize that it's simply a facet of her that just hasn't been dealt with much in light of her pop success. Musically, this album is adult-contemporary with blends of country to edge it out. Thematicallly, this album is about being trapped in a...

The Most In-Depth Album Amy Has Produced Yet!

Pros: Gives you a look into who the REAL Amy Grant is
Cons: Has one song that is quite out of place, can be a bit slow for those accustomed to her faster moving albums
I have been a die-hard fan of Amy Grant ever since I first heard "Every Heartbeat" while flying to see my grandmother in California on a VERY LONG 4 1/2 hour flight. I was almost 10 at the time, and it was the first time I had really been away from my mother. Needless to say, I was quite broken up about it; homesick within an hour. I needed something to distract me from my internal feelings, so I plugged the headset in and starting flipping channels on the airline radio. I finally landed on a channel that was playing a song I recognized. The song soon ended, and the next song was "Every...

Thank's Amy for Another Great Album

Pros: ANOTHER GREAT AMY GRANT ALBUM
Cons: Price - CD PRICES ARE TOO DARN HIGH!
I am a big fan of Amy Grant, so this opinion may be a bit biased or intended for fellow Amy Grant fans. I LOVE THIS ALBUM - THIS IS DEFINITELY ONE OF HER BEST. Amy Grant's music has evolved over the past couple of decades and I have definitely enjoyed the transition. Her initial solid Christian/youth oriented materials have given way to more Christian/pop in the later 1980s and early 1990s. This latest release shows us more of a mature and adult/spiritual side of Amy G. The themes of the album are definitely directed to adults, but can also be enjoyed by adolescent audiences (Amy does not use.
