Pros:
Some good music from the Fab Four, if nothing truly classic.
Cons:
More of an odds 'n ends collection than a true album.
From 1964 through 1966, Capitol Records made it their practice to "loot" the records which the Beatles released in Great Britain, stripping several songs off and, by combining them with singles and the B-sides, creating entirely new albums. Thus, while the band put out 7 English LP's (and a four song EP) through REVOLVER, Capitol managed to stretch that number to 11 records (including a narrative biography of the Fab Four)! And it was certainly a lucrative practice; such U.S.-only releases as THE BEATLES SECOND ALBUM, SOMETHING NEW, BEATLES '65 and this one, BEATLES VI, all hit the Top Five...
