Battlefield: Bad Company (Xbox 360)

This is a fantastic first person shooter.
Pros:
- Everything can be destroyed. The ability to destroy the scenery to the way you play is an excellent addition to the first person shooter genre.
- The game play is easy to use and pick up. Within ten minutes I had a grasp of the controls and felt comfortable playing.
- The game play is fanatic. There is never a low in action during the multiplayer. The single player is also a blast to play.
- The graphics are great. It is fun to see tank bullets blast past your person and all the vivid explosions and scenery.
- The sound on this game is unlike any other game out now.
- The levels are very large and allow a lot of room to move.

Cons:
- If you invite a friend to play with you your friend and you may be on different teams.
- Talking via the headset is limited to your squad of four and not everyone on your team.
- Every once in a while you will get into a game and your characters movements are funny / choppy. You can get rid of this by exiting to the main menu and joining the multiplayer again. I am sure there will be a patch for this.

The Demo gives a great feel for this game as well.

Best shooter I have ever played. The single player mode is fun and comical at times. It has an entertaining plot. My only problem with it is, it is a little short. But besides that, it was really fun!

Then the multiplayer. It is amazing. Gold rush mode is really fun and conquest mode is your classic battlefield multiplayer battle. This game is better then Call of Duty 4.

Cool game, great graphics, very life like. It takes some getting use to. It's pretty hard especially if your making the transition from Call of Duty 4. I would recommend the game.

It was a lot of fun, and I know a lot of people want a comparison to Call Of Duty 4. So here it is...It is about as much fun as COD4 to play, but has some significant difference that I don't like. here they are.
1. You can't go prone (lay down)
2. You can't upgrade your weapon (adding different scopes and colors)
3. You can't edit your kit (Match main weapons with side weapons and different grenades etc.)

Some differences I don't mind

1. don't regain health unless medic helps you, or you have an auto injector.
2. bonus points for different types of kills (headshot, avenger, savior, knifed, etc.)
3. longer respawn time (some may not like it, I think it encourages you to live longer, and not do anything stupid)

And some difference I love (these make the game)

1. You can drive vehicles like tanks, buggy's, golf carts, boats, helicopters, etc.(always wanted that in COD4)
2. The laser designator (Everyone who plays Bad Company will agree, being able to guide a missile into a tank is awesome)
3. Squads (some people think this shouldn't belong as a strength, but i beg to differ. Squads create a more personal team, you don't argue or trashtalk, so its more about the game, its easier to organize four people than 12, making co-operative attacks very effective. It is more realistic and brings more skill to the game)

My ultimate deduction, is that both games are great, and you really have to play both the same amount before deciding. If they could be made better i don't think it would be hard. All that has to be done is that the Pro's from both games be merged, it isn't that hard, just needs a bulb to go off in one of the companys.

P.S. Don't poo-poo either of them until you have played the same number of hours, or at least close. Everyone knows switching games can be hard and make you dislike the new game, give the other one a chance.

I like that they did a good job at the 360 playing field, I think it is funny that when the guys get board they do funny things or say funny things, has much replay value. I also like that you can not carry all the weapons that you find with you, you str only allowed so much room in you backpack. There really isnt anything that I don't like about the game.

This is a great game... I find the ability to alter the multiple environments a big plus. The multiplayer is action packed and it seems that there will be updates for more online options in the future. The single player game is very entertaining with witty characters, fun story line, huge levels, and excellent game physics. Im a huge fan of first person games because I love being a sniper in all of them, But this game has the wind effect so it basically means you have to shoot ahead of them and let the wind curve to hit them, its not always accurate also. The movement effect is sometimes head hurting but overall its a good game

I like the gameplay. The load times suck, the fact that u can't skip thru some of the dialoque makes it tedious at times. I can't play the game online but can see how some of the levels could be really cool to play in against friends online. Definitely worth the $40 bucks I paid for it new.

This game is one of the best first person shooters I have ever played. There are so many great things about this game, and not a thing I see wrong with it. First off, the game play is amazing. You can destroy/run over/blow up trees, walls, houses, doors, windows, basically anything you can imagine. You can fly a helicopter, drive a tank, a jeep, a buggy, and even a boat. If you're bored of one "weapon" you start off with at least three, and you are able to UNLOCK hoards more. If you don't like just plain shooting, you can use a bazooka, a submachine gun, or even a sniper. There's so many good things about this game that I would recommend to anyone. Be careful if you are going to give this to a child because there is strong language during online and single player mode. You can play with any of your friends online, and that's just the beginning of it.

Online play is absolutely amazing. You can collect "dog tags" which basically for boasting reasons. You use a knife to get a kill and eventually steal the opponents dog tag which goes into your multiplayer background history. You can earn patches, awards, achievements, ranks, guns, and even trophies. This game is one of the best games I've ever played. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I've played many of previous BATTLEFIELD games. I've owned original BATTLEFIELD 1942 from day one and I spent hours playing it. These are my thoughts on the newest addition to the BATTLEFIELD franchise.

GRAPHICS - are the best from all Battlefield games. Especially animations and destructible environment are great addition to the game. 5 out 5

SOUND / MUSIC - are solid in the game. Sounds of fighting, weapons, armor vehicles are realistic. 5 out 5

SINGLE PLAYER MODE - for the first time Battlefield game offers solid single player mode. Cut scenes have a lot of humor in them. But there are better first person shooters out there. 4 out 5

MULTIPLAYER - BATTLEFIELD always been about multiplayer experience. The multiplayer mode in this BATTLEFIELD game is a lot of fun. However, it feels like a lot of repeat from the BATTLEFIELD games. There is little innovations and originality here. Addition of ranking system, unlock able weapons and gadgets are one of new additions compared to the previous BATTLEFIELD games.
Of course the biggest improvement is the destructible environment in the game.
Blowing up houses, smashing trees with armored vehicles etc. will put smile on your face. All in all this game will be great experience for first time BATTLEFIELD players but for those who played BATTLEFIELD before this game is repeat of what it is been done previously. 3.5 out 5

Overall BATTLEFIELD bad company is a solid game. This game is evolution from the previous games but i was hoping for more revolutionary ideas in this game. Especially with game tactics. I give this game GOOD rating.

The Game is a ton of fun but with a short story and one online mode it get old iv had it for about 1 1/2 weeks and i sold it a day ago.

This game with its new aproach on online and singleplayer gaming will probably be a signal flare for other games to start kicking it up a notch on interactive surroundings. With it's rated "T" for teens, it expands the horizon of players to the younger and more demanding populace. With its new inovative Frostbite game engine, you can warp your a friendly neighborhood into a alive deconstruction zone. Although some Singleplayer campaign levels may seem a little painstaking, online play isn't fixed to who rushes who. With a plethora of vehicles and weapons at your disposal, tactics seem to be the new generation of gaming instead of the ol' bum rush Halo style.

I love shooter style games as well as war games, i also like games that have humor. I really dont know how to express how satisfied I am with this game it is fun and exciting to play as well it is very funny. I just love this game and reccomend it to anyone who is thinking about purchasing it. Great game!!!
