A Good Collectable To Own - "for the right price"

After listening to this CD I ended up buying another one, one to listen to and the other to keep as a collectable. This CD contains 4 live BBC recordings, one song done by each member. All 4 of the different versions perfomed are excellent. The song "Baby It's You" can be found elsewhere on "The Beatles Live At The BBC", the other 3 songs (versions) were never released until now. This CD makes a great collectable worthy of a listen from time-to-time, but like I said, "for the right price".

Not so in this case--of the songs on the Baby It's You single, none enjoyed any chart success, and three out of the four selections are covers..

Pros:
Rocking Ballad, nice phrasing

Cons:
None

A rock version of the Motown classic "Baby It's You". The biggest difference is that you'll notice that it's a straight 4/4 beat which rocks this song up considerably. John Lennon takes the lead on the Beatles version which is lovely. This record was made early in their careers and is crisp, and clean. The back ups of Paul and George are distinct and add much to the single. How else can I describe this ditty? It's a Beatles song that most won't recognize because it never made it on an American album (major label). There are several smaller labels, most notable Vee Jay that recycled about 12...
