Never recieved item want tio close transaction. Will never do buisness again. I get so mad when things like this hapopen. I payed for an item and never recieved it. How can people do buisness like that? I bought it for my little nephew who likes baby Einstine but I never recieved it.
I purchased this for my 9 months old daughter, and She loves it! every time I turn on the tv and play this video she gets so excited and happy, but the best part of everything is that she is learning to comunicate with me!!! She understand when I talk to her with the signs, so I am very happy with this product!
We tried to teach our daughter sign language from very early on. She only learned 'milk' from us. When she started really watching this movie at about 9 mos. old, she started to pick everything up because she saw other babies and young children using the signs. She now knows more than 20 signs and can use them (when she wants to) appropriately.
THIS IS THE FIRST VIDEO I BOUGHT MY BABY AND I HAVE TO SAY IT IS STILL ONE OF OUR FAVORITE VIDEOS. IT IS NICE TO LEARN THE SIGNS AND BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH OUR EIGHT MONTH OLD AND KNOW THAT WE ARE UNDERSTANDING EACH OTHER. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VIDEO FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS A LITTLE ONE. THIS VIDEO HAS A LOT OF FUN PUPPETS WITH GREAT SOUNDS THAT LITTLE BABIES LOVE TO HEAR. DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY TO GET. ENJOY IT!!! YOUR BABY SURE WILL.
I love this video for my 1 year old. He love it also. I just wish they spent a little more time on the most usable signs like *more* and *please* and *thank you*. However I would still recommend this to any parent trying to teach their child to sign.
My two-year-old daughter has been fascinated with Baby Einstein programs since she was about 6 months old. They still hold her attention like no other video or TV show. The quality of the Baby Einstein shows far exceeds that of many other kids' shows I've seen. I recently purchased the "First Signs" DVD and, as expected, my daughter loves it. She has watched it several times and has already learned several signs. The DVD shows not only adults signing the words but children as well and it didn't take long for my daughter to imitate them. Most of the signs taught on the DVD are words already in her vocabulary, which is perfect. I can't recommend "First Signs" and all of the Baby Einstein videos enough. A+
Great description, super fast shipping. No problems with seller. I bought this dvd because it was quite inexpensive and my son loves the Old Macdonald's Farm DVD. My son (14 months) couldn't care less about this title. My husband and I were able to pick up a few signs to help our son, otherwise not a great dvd. It might be good for a family with older children to help a young sibling.
We love this! Our one year old is using some of the signs! My older kids love to learn with her! Promotes baby+family time! I bought it for her and I to do, but my other kids offer to watch it with her. They are proud of the signs they are learning and can use with her!
The name "Baby Einstein" can lull you into thinking it's okay or even good for babies to watch t.v., but the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television AT ALL to children under 2 because so many studies have proven its harmful effects on children. Studies have shown that:
- for every hour of television a baby watches a day, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%. - among babies ages 8 months to 16 months, every hour spent daily watching programs such as 'Brainy Baby' or 'Baby Einstein' translated into six to eight fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age." - brain wave activity in babies is slower when watching television than when sleeping.
"Signing Time" (Two Little Hands Productions) DVDs is an excellent option for OCCASIONAL video viewing because communicating in sign language with your child is proven to:
- reduce frustration and tantrums - accelerate language development - promote parent-child bonding
Last thing for new moms - carrying newborn babies (in arms or next to body) an extra 3 hours a day resulted in 40% less crying. So carrying baby in a carrier or sling can help calm fussy babies!
What you need to know on how to communicate with your child before they can verbalize. Well done for viewing by both parent & child together. A must see.
I bought a few Baby Einstein videos at one time. I should have waited. I wanted an educational video where the children could learn as they were entertained. They were all very boring to the children and could not keep their attention. For me, it was a waste of money.
My son has the all 23 DVD's from Baby einstein, but he really enjoys this one,he loves this dvd,he laghs and learns from this DVD,thank yo for such a great products .
I like the fact that everyone in the house was doing it immediately and wanting to help the baby sign. I love it because it is a great start to helping the child to help themselves as well as others, there are times in our lives we need this more than we know and can use it at alot of job's. Starting at this young age is Great because it is easier to learn sign language now at this age than when your older, I know this first hand. No dislikes about this DVD
My little girl (2) took to it instantly, my main purpose for purchasing this item was to broaden her mind and teach her other ways of communicating. After just one viewing she is signing beautifully while she talks to me. I have little guys that I too will definately share this with when they get a little older. I highly recommend this DVD, it is a great start for children & adults.
I really like this DVD, it has been well worth the money. My daughter is 17 months old and has no words yet. Therefore, we are teaching her sign language to help ease her frustrations. The DVD has been a BIG help! She loves watching it and has picked up many new signs. Also, the DVD has been a great reinforcement for the signs we have been teaching her on our own. I often play it for her in the car (where she is forced to stay in her seat - whereas at home she will often wander away from any TV show) and she really focuses in on it and seems to really enjoy it. I highly recommend this product to anyone teaching their child basic signs.
I feel this is an excellent video for toddlers. My twins are 20 months old and within three days they were signing "baby." However, I have been signing with my girls since they were 12 months old. So they have become really custom to signing certain words already and this video just added to their knowledge of signs. They were just amazed by this video and loved the animal that it featured.
There is not enough repetition of the signs to really teach a baby to sign. I recommend Baby Signing Time by TwoHands Productions. High-quality, entertaining, and EFFECTIVE. They use music, animation, and children 2 and under repeating the signs over and over.
If you get this DVD, it would be more effective at teaching Spanish or French using the Sign Language as a bridge once your child knows Sign Language.
I wanted to teach my 10 mo daughter to sign for basic things (milk, eat, mommy, daddy etc). I bought this DVD to add to the lessons I was already teaching her. The Baby Einstein First Signs DVD is great! Even better than I expected. It teaches the same words in a variety of ways (using actual object, pictures, puppets etc). It's entertaining and not too intense. She LOVES it.
I have wanted to teach my children and myself ASL for a long time. When I spoke with an interpreter, she suggested Baby Einstein: My First Signs. We love it! The signs are repeated throughout the video and easy to learn. The puppets and overall video are a hoot to watch. We love signing, and we love this video, along with of course, Signing Time videos.
i love this dvd because my baby loves it. she will talk, giggle and scream when she watches this. she loves it. i bought it because i thought i would be fun for her to learn how to tell me what she wants before she can talk. she's a little young yet so i hope it works. if not she still enjoyed it.
My son LOVES this dvd above all the rest. It goes over some basic signs and he really has picked up on them fast. It is presented in an easy way and it is great dvd. This is by far one of the best Baby Einstein dvd's out there! I highly recommend it!
I purchased this DVD when my daughter was 6 months old. She and I both love it! It is a nice because they introduce signs in groups/categories (mealtime, bedtime, playtime, etc.) and follow up the new sign with pictures of what the sign means. I know my daughter is fascinated and I would recommend this to anyone wanting to learn a few signs with their baby.
