Excellent Display~Full Digital Interface Plus 2 USB

This display uses Apple's revolutionary Apple Display Connector (ADC) which combines power, video and 2 USB signals into a single cable and connector. ADC displays are directly compatible with most macs manufactured after 2000. They can be used on macs with DVI video outputs through a separate DVI to ADC adapter. Apple and Dr. Bott both manufacture an adapter and they seem to cost about $65-75 on eBay.
The 17" display is a great size display for the average home computer user. It provides a large enough screen to have a number of applications and multiple windows open. It's a little small if you really want to actively use multiple applications. The screen isn't big enough to have two full pages open side by side, but it's big enough to be able to switch back and forth between open windows. You just can't see multiple pages simultaneously. If you do a lot of multi-app work, then I'd suggest you opt for a 20" or larger display. You'll find the larger displays provide a much better user experience for working between multiple windows.
This is a great display for the amateur home user that wants to surf the net, send e-mails, edit photos, work on spreadsheets, etc. It's probably too small for power users.
