Need to see the first movie first. Touching story. All girls and mothers should watch, together preferably.

really loved the movie. takes you back to days gone by. i bought the movie because i had seen it when i was younger and decided i wanted to own it for my kids to see someday.

This is a must see for everyone especially young people. It is the BEST movie I have ever seen and have purchased it for my grandchildren and they as well as their parents LOVE it and the sequel. This is a classic and a GREAT ONE.

I loved the condition of it. It was what I expected, but I didn't receive the movie on time. It was a couple of weeks late.

Beautiful story -- beautiful scenery -- beautifully done! I bought it because I loved Anne of Green Gables and knew I would also enjoy the sequel.

I absolutely love the Anne of Green Gables sequel, known on VHS as "Anne of Avonlea". You simply cannot have the first without purchasing at least this sequel to continue the story. As far as I am concerned, they should have left it at these two. I do not like any following sequels. They just don't have the same homey flavor as the first and the sequel. Green Gables and Avonlea really go hand in hand. They are relaxing, and although long, it's worth every single minute. I would recommend them both for children of all ages. They are timeless classics. I bought them on DVD because I wore out two VHS purchases - one I bought for far more money then I spent on ebay for these, and I wore out one I actually taped from TV as well. Now they will last a very long time. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I LOVE THE ANNE OF GREEN GABLES/AVONLEA SERIES FOR THE QUALITY OF THE STORY,THE PRODUCTION,AND THE AUTHENTICITY OF COSTUME AND LOCATION. I AM INSPIRED EACH TIME I WATCH IT. I HAVE RECIEVED THE ANNE OF GREEN GABLES SEQUEL DVD BUT HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED THE THE FIRST ANNE OF GREEN GABLES. I PAID FOR IT MONTHS AGO AND STILL WANT IT.

This was purchased as a gift for my daughter. It came and was new, not used which I was very happy for. There was nothing wrong with the product and was as advertised. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought it for my wife who already had the other two movies and this was still sealed so she was able to be the one to open the DVD. No flaws on the DVD, the description was accurate.

I really like Megan Follows and was anxious to get the next in the series for my girls (11 and 9) to finish watching. We laughed and cried. What more can you want in a movie. We love Anne of Green Gables (except the 3rd installment was poorly done) and will watch it again and again. :)

Planning a time when I would be undisturbed was the only challenging thing about watching the movie. Like the first, the sequel was equally wonderful.
Sadly, Matthew has passed on but, Marilla and Rachel are just as loving and Anne has a number of adult relationships with different people in her life like her former teacher, who helps her get a job in an exclusive girls school teaching English. She always seems to shine because of her brains and good values.
She is generous with helping others dispite her few minor flaws, such as her delightfully red hair and temper.
The music is heartwarming and makes you feel as though things will go well for Anne. She is able to help students get through their behavioral problems and emotionally challenging times as well and we see her use the experiences she faced as a girl to help her figure out her students and their families.
The scenery is beautiful throughout the movie and the dowdy head mistress at the private school where she is teaching is soon transform by it when she visits Green Gables for summer vacation. Of course it helps when Anne Tells her to get a life.
In the end, there is a feeling that she has handled the challenges in her life very well and that everyone who has been there to help her has benifited as much as she.
Even if real life isn't always as sweet, it is a pleasure to watch these fine films and try to catch glimpses of our own experiences.

the great on-going life of Anne. Great drama and acting. No violence, but a light lovestory. I bought it after loving it after it came out the first time and I needed some movies to keep me company and it and it's companion the first movie were perfect.

If you enjoy simple stories about engaging people- this is for you! Set in Victorian Maritime Canada is the contination of Anne of Green Gables. If you haven't watched the first of this series, don't watch this one first. If you are a soft hearted person you will love this movie and there won't be a dry eye during the entire movie. If your an ice cube (all prickles and cold) don't bother watching it, cause you won't like it.
This movie chronicles the continuation of Anne's life as she becomes successful as a teracher and makes decisions that will effect the rest of her life. She adds sunshine to many person's lives and helps some cvhange from Ice Cubes to People ( there is hope for some of you yet). This is probably the best movie that I've seen this year(out of 192 movies), but who's keeping count:). ENJOY IT!!!! I DID!!!!

I bought this movie because my mom had purchased the first one recently. We had watched this movie together when I was a little gril. It isn't the most interesting and my husband won't watch it but I loved it. I loved it as a child and will always be fond of it because of that. I can't wait to get the next one!

My wife had seen these on tv years ago and had to have it. Great find and excellant quality C.D. Good family entertainment, no imappropriate scenes in the whole movie.
