I didn't watch Buffy until after all of it already over. (Had to watch it on dvd). Then I wanted something more so we started to watch Angel. First season wasn't as good as I expected so I was hesitant to watch this season. I'm very glad that I did, this was a great season and I highly recommend it.
I was shocked when this item came in the mail and there was no outside cover, the second disc was missing and so was the booklet that describes each episode. I tried to contact the seller first and they did respond quickly to me but told me there was nothing they could do. I feel like I got the shaft on this purchase. I will be missing 4 episodes of this show that I like so much.
I love the Angel series and this one held my interest until disc's 5 and 6.To me these two were very boring. I can only hope season three is better than these last two disc's!
I've always loved watching Scifi movies. And Angel has been a favorite for a couple years so I decided to buy all the seasons available. I love watching them. My product (after purchasing) arrived in good condition and got here pretty quickley. I'm very satisfied.
The product was in good shape for being a used set. All disks were in great condition and never once gave my DVD player a problem in reading them! The seller was easy to work with and I hope to conduct more business with them!!!
Brings me back every time to see what will go on next in the Season. Angel is great in this Season and charactors are all great actors. Can not write enough to say how good this Season is.
When I received my DVD's they were in great condition. I was happy to see that it was in new shape. The delevery and confirmation were very fast. I have always gotten good service from the e-bay site. I look forward to getting more items at bargin prices off the e-bay site.
Season 2 is a great season of Angel, in my opinion. I especially love the last few episodes where they are in Pylea - it has a very big-screen feel to it, and they're just great episodes. Guise Will Be Guise is another great episode that features Wesley. Season 3 gets much darker and there is a lot of division among the group of characters, and season 2 is a little bit lighter with regard to the characters. All in all, another great season of Angel.
I have collected the entire series, and this season is one of the better ones. Angel was fleshed out a lot more than he could ever be in the Buffy series. The plot lines are more interesting than I remembered from TV, especially as I discover how many I missed. Plus they introduce some of the characters that will be come important in the later seasons. The seperate summary of episodes is a better format than Buffy's (on each CD jacket). I highly recommend you buy this season if you like Angel, or any Joss Whedon's other work (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or Firefly and Serenity.
I love this show. There is nothing that I dislike about this product. I do wish that the DVDs contained more Extras (like outtakes, etc.). I decided to buy it because I am trying to collect all of the seasons. If you enjoyed the series, and would like to see it again, I would recommend it.
The second season of Angel begins to pull you in with deeper plot lines. The evil law firm Wolfram and Hart raise Darla, Angel's old lover and sire from the dead. You remember the same Darla he killed on Buffy. Darla does her best to drive Angel evil again, to the point where he cuts all ties to his new team: Wesley, Cordelia and Gun. I won't tell you the rest, it gets better! I felt that this season the characters get more fleshed out as well and I liked how three polar opposites, Cordelia, Wesley and Gun bond and join forces to fight evil with or without Angel!

Angel Season 2 on DVD

Pros: More character development, great special effects
Cons: Too much of the Darla arc
Season One is behind the cast and crew, and there is now no remaining doubts that the Buffy spin-off is a success. Both Buffy fans, and people new to the Jossverse, are loving the show. In this Season, the show moves away from the episode to episode feel, and starts developing some long-term story arcs. While the arcs in this season aren't the best, they do set up at least three vital plots to arcs in the remaining three seasons. Cordelia isn't the same girl we loved to hate in the early episodes of Buffy. She's now matured mostly. Wesley, though changing, is still Wesley Wyndham-Pryce. Angel.

Here we go again..! Angel - Season 2

Pros: It's got everything.
Cons: May be a little spotty on exactly where it's going.
Being a person who cites lack of time (or perhaps poor time management skills) as a reason for not watching television shows, one would think that crossover shows would be the last thing in the world for me... But there are always exceptions, though, aren't there? Buffy The Vampire Slayer was the first TV show for which I willed myself to fandom as an adult. When I was little, it was all Simpsons, Rescue 911, America's Funniest Home Videos. Maybe even a little Tail Spin or Rescue Rangers (was I off my hinges thinking Gadget was hot?) Of course then there were the high school years, dominated..

Angel - Season Two DVD Boxed Set

Pros: Great stories and character development
Cons: Not many extras
The second season of Angel is more structured than the first, and as the show progressed you can tell that the writers and producers were settling into the direction they wanted to take the show. Just like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the show from which this one spun off, all of the episodes are connected so that the entire season turns into one long ongoing main story with multiple running subplots. At the end of the first season, the Darla (Julie Benz) character was resurrected. In case you never saw Buffy, this season replays a lot of the back story between her and Angel (David Boreanaz)....

"Angel" Season 2: Better Than "Buffy" ?
Review created: 04/16/05
by: JediKermit -- a member of Epinions
Pros: Angel's darker this season, Darla & Drusilla return, Kate's storyline, other supporting characters...
Cons: Some Sunnydale events go unmentioned that should have at least gotten a throwaway line...
The same loser friends who got me hooked on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" did what I thought they'd never be able to do--get me hooked on "Angel." Every time I saw any part of "Angel" it looked cheesy, and I never liked the character of Angel much on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Too one-note, except when "turned evil" as Angelus, a killer vampire...I just didn't think he was the best character. In Season 1 of his own series, all that changed. He inherited some supporting cast from Buffy, and started developing his own stories as a detective in L.A. whose mission it is to "help the helpless."...

Shades of Gray: Angel Peaks in its Second Season

Pros: Complex themes coupled with intricate plots and satisfying character progression.
Cons: Some important plot elements are left unresolved. The Pylea sojourn is a mess.
Please Note: Although this review is tagged for spoilers, it also makes reference to major plot events from Angel: Season One. Introduction Coming after a well-rounded first season, Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off Angel comfortably found its feet in its second year on the air. Having learned from previous errors, the stories began to focus less on arbitrary victims-of-the-week and more on the central group of Angel, Cordelia and Wesley, placing the characters in complicated situations and using these opportunities to have them grow and change. The result is a hugely successful year that can.
