fantastic hd dvd.brilliant picture and sound,if you have to buy one hd dvd,this is the one!!!I am not fully convinced that there is really such a difference in picture quality between dvd and hd dvds,specially if you have a good upscaling dvd player,but this hd dvd makes you think again.

GREAT MOVIE! HAVE ON REG DVD FORMAT DECIDED TO TRY IT IN HD FORMAT. LOOKS MUCH BETTER. WORTH WATCHING AGAIN.

I lkie the movie and thought it would be great to get it in HD. Unfortunately I only watched half of it when I did my feedback. The last 30 minutes of the DVD were dead because of scratches. I would defenitely recommend checking out who you are dealing with. I thought I was buying a new copy, not a used one.

I HAVE NEVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF ATTENDING A LIVE VERSION OF PHANTOM SO I'M CUTTING MY TEETH ON THE MOVIE VERSION. MOST OF MY FRIENDS WHO HAVE SEEN IT LIVE DO NOT CARE FOR THE MOVIE VERSION, BUT I ENJOYED IT ALOT. I HAD NO TROUBLE GETTING INTO THE STORY AND HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THE MUSICAL SCORE. I'VE VIEWED ABOUT 20 HD-DVD MOVIES AND THINK THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST TRANSFERS I'VE SEEN SO FAR. CRYSTAL CLEAR PICTURE AND WONDERFUL SOUND. I'LL WATCH IT OFTEN FOR THESE REASONS.

I HAVE SEEN THE PLAY ON STAGE AND VERY MUCH WANTED A TAPE OR DVD FOR HOME. I WON IT TWICE, BY PAY PAL BUT NEVER RECEIVED A TAPE. HAD GOOD COMMUNICATION WITH SECOND SELLER NOTIFYING ME THAT THE PRODUCT HAD BEEN SENT, BUT I NEVER RECEIVED IT. I WILL TRY TO GET IT FROM A STORE HERE AT HOME. I CANNOT EVALUATE THE PRODUCT BECAUSE I NEVER RECEIVED ONE.

Bought it because it was on my granddaughter's xmas list but actually my sister-in-law saw the movie and loved it, she just loved the play and the music to Phantom and said the movie was very close to the script. All my granddaughters are familiar with the music and they will be thrilled, I'm sure.

The singing was absolutely incredible, by both men and women. Christine (Emmy Rossum) had the voice of an angel! She definatley gave Sarah Brightman a run for her money. Gerard Butler is my favorite Phantom so far. He had a wonderful, resonating voice. The sets were beautiful and so were the costumes. Overall it was a brilliant movie, and I loved it!

This is a fantastic movie that but I had to turn around and sell it to some one else because I didn't realize that it required an HD DVD player but other then that this is a wonderful movie experience for the true musical type and romance/tragedy lover.
