Alpine PDX-4.150 Car Amp

I worked in the car stereo field for years and have heard and owned my fair share of different systems with different equipment. I am running Alpine SPX-F17T 3 way components and a set of SPX-F 2-way components in the rear. I first ran them off the deck and they sounded great, but lacked tight mid-bass and couldnt push the higher frequencies. I was skeptical about the PDX series amps due to there size and that they were a new line of Alpine products.

I installed the amp and all i can say is WOW. The speakers SING! Now let me say that i do have a high end deck with high end cabling and I ran 0g wire to the rear of the car and distributed it to 4g.

Very clean amplifier. Im not a fan of the crimp down speaker terminals and there is a hissss in the 12k frequency range (easily corrected with an eq), but other than that its great.

Small size is increadible. I mounted the amp under the rear deck lid in my 07 Altima and you cant even see it unless you squat on your knees and look up.

I bought this item over a month ago. Got it installed last week. Found out that the Amp has problems. 2 of the 4 channels are broken. I'm going to report this and get my full refund back. Never buy from this seller.

at the ebay price this top of the line alpine amp is awesome. very clear and crisp. I have mine pushing 2 alpine type s 5x7/6x8 component sets aswell as a type s 6.5 component set and they get down even with my gains like 3/4 the way up. if you get it in your local store you will pay an arm and a leg but in a good ebay store it is a steal. granted if something does go wrong you cann't just bring it back to the store you got it from but I think it is worth it to save like $200-$300.

I've bought this amplifier to drive the other Alpine equipment I've bought. I was expecting "good enough", but it was more than that - it was just excellent - Money well spent.

The sound was clear and loud, and if used with other Alpine equipment, you will get your money's worth.

If you need CLEAN CLEAN POWER this amp is it. The pdx amps also have great efficiency at all volume levels, this will have a very low load on the battery and alternator compare to other amps. These amplifiers also have a very low interference and can be installed any where in the car or truck with out the worry of increased interference.
