I have seen Blunt perform multiple times and if it weren't for new technology I would have worn out my cassette tape or vinyl record by now...He has a great voice and his songs have meaning unlike most of today's "music". Even my wife who likes dance music absolutely loved his music and concert too. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this album or his next one (When is it???) and we already have the first too. Thanks for making me something I can enjoy...
I always worry when one of my favorite artists puts out their second CD. What if it's not as good? What if the artist went a completely different direction? A lot of artists put out an amazing debut album because they have been writing that album for a decade while playing clubs and paying their dues.
But, James Blunt's second has every bit as much energy, vulnerability, bitterness, and sweetness. It has been in my car stereo since I got it, and it's not coming out for a long time.
There are two songs I really like. One is the reason I bought the cd and there ended up being another one I really liked. The rest I just skip by as they just don't do it for me.
I've had to listen to this Cd over and over again, it's really good music. The songs 1973, Annie, I Really Want You, and I Can't Hear the Music, are the ones I like the most, you all should enjoy this Cd.
Have you guys heard this new CD 1973? OMG- its awesome! It’s such a mellow and great CD. Even people who have never heard of him LOVE it and always ask “Who is that?” “1973” is a keeper!
