I like the movie because I was fortunate to tour the plane in person. I wanted to compare the movie to what I expierenced on Air Force One. Love the movie. DVD came in very good condition.
Harrison Ford is one of my favorite actors. He is excellent in this film. The plot is exciting, but kind of farfetched. However the story is great and I would recommend this film.
Great movie. Another great performace from Harrison Ford. A lot of people like to disregard Ford as a premier American actor, but they must not realize that his films have grossed more than all but 2 other actors in the world. Pretty impressive.
I purchased the DVD to replace my video copy. If you liked the "Jack Ryan" movies that Harrison Ford stared in then you'll enjoy this movie too. The movie is well cast with Gary Oldman (AKA Sirius Black from the Harry Potter movies) as the main bad guy. Over all it's an entertaining for both genders with plenty of thrills, suspense and action. A great popcorn movie!
Great movie! Excellent special effects, too bad real AF-1 didn't have all those capabilities. Was a great movie to demo in a surround-sound room while working in retail in the 90's! Especially when DVD's first came out. Did you ever pause the action before someone got "shot"? You can see the special effects go into action! It'd be great to have a Pres. like this! HUGE Harrison Ford fans!
Harrison Ford is great as the President. We could actually look past his persona and imagine him as the President. It is fun to see how clever his character can be with little to work with. Our favorite line is "get off my plane!" which you will understand if you see the movie. Highly recommend. Watching after what happened on 9/11 makes this a little more intense but realistic. Still an enjoyable movie.
This is one of those movies that, for some reason, I wasn't too thrilled about the first time I saw it. Then, it was on t.v., and I realized how good it is. I stopped watching it, so I would't ruin the ending, and I immediately ordered it. I love Harrison Ford, and Gary Oldman. They are both in this movie. If you love the show 24, you will love Air Force One !!!!!!!
I didn't get it yet in the mail, But I seen it befor I realy like it, I can't say anything about the seller yet because it been a long time getting here
I can watch this movie over and over. I am a big fan of Harrison Ford and this was one of my favorite movies from the 90's. Especially the thrilling scene on Airforce One where he says "Get Off of My PLANE!"

Air Force One: Harrison Ford in 2004!

Pros: great acting, good effects, decent suspense factor
Cons: plot holes, reality casts the movie in a different light
Is the era of the Hollywood blockbuster action over? I think that's a question everyone is asking right now, and the answer isn't coming any time soon. Before September 11, 2001, movies like Independence Day were considered family fare. Now they come with a warning label about disturbing scenes. A long time before that happened, I loaded my movie queue at Netflix with action-adventure movies. Some of them are hard to watch. In particular, Air Force One sat above my television since November waiting for me to watch it. (Part of that is my own fault; I had it confused with the movie Executive...

Pros: Some good action sequences, some decent characters...
Cons: ... predictable script, uninvolving, doesn't make best use of a good cast...
In Air Force One, US President James Marshall (Harrison Ford) is put in a tough position when his newly expounded policy of non-tolerance to terrorists (following the capture of a general in Kazakhstan) is put to the test, involving him in a very personal way. Fortunately though Marshall is a former veteran helicopter pilot with war experience, so turning action hero isn t too much of a problem for him. If you can swallow that, you might just enjoy the film! Actually it s not a bad film particularly, it just never really made much difference to me what happened. President Marshall is...

"Get off my plane!"

Pros: Wolfgang Petersen's directing, Andrew Marlowe's script, Harrison Ford's screen presence, Jerry Goldsmith's score
Cons: Requires SOME suspension of disbelief.
Pre-takeoff Preliminaries: Musings and Comments. 1997 was a very good year for me as a movie-goer. I not only got to see the 20th Anniversary Special Edition re-releases of the original Star Wars Trilogy (which, of course, co-starred the top-billed star of "Air Force One") on the big screen, but I also got to see my favorite action-adventure actor in one of his last true-blue, sure-fire hits. Let's face it, since Harrison Ford turned his back on his third franchise role as Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (he rejected the script for Sum of All Fears in its first draft, prompting a rewrite and the...

How Could This Happen?

Pros: Fast Paced Action, Great Acting from All
Cons: Was over too soon
Harrison Ford has been one of my favorite actors ever since Star Wars. I've followed him through the Indiana Jones series and some of his other serious roles and also Six Days Seven Nights. I've watched Air Force One several times and I wasn't disappointed. Ford plays a hard line U.S. President who doesn't believe in letting a nation be held hostage by terrorists. After a meeting with the Russian President, the Presidential plane (Air Force One) is hijacked by Russian Neo-nationalists who demand that their leader be released from Russian prison. The President is a dedicated father and when...

Air Farce One

Pros: Nice special effects
Cons: Extremely stupid story
The time is the present. One of our elite strike forces has just captured a renegade general in Kazakhstan, and in celebration of the success of that mission, United States President James Marshall (Harrison Ford), has made a very moving speech in Moscow about how the United States of America will never negotiate with terrorists. Aboard Air Force One, the First Family, along with an entourage of staff members, military advisors and some Russian journalists are on their way back to the United States. Unfortunately, there are some problems. The journalists are not who they have portrayed...
