This product is a good product for use during clear days. I believe the only downfall of this is the limited capacity to use a 1 GB CF card to record your videos or take pictures, unless you download them to your computer often. The display is great along with the capability to hook it up to you VCR and watch from the Camcorder itself. Overall, I believe for a family wanting a capability of taking picture and video without the high cost of a DV camcorder this would be a wonderful start for a low price.
