The book was delivered promptly, in a good condition. I couldn't find it any cheaper than this in new condition. I needed this book bad, and they delivered. Thanks.

  Good instruction book
Review created: 05/28/08

The book is very good at giving step-by-step instructions for those that already have a general knowledge base of Photoshop. It has been benefiticial to me, however, I felt that there were some topics that the book covered vaguely and could have given more in depth coverage. There are many "tircks" that can be performed through Photoshop and I felt that this book did not reveal many of the purposes and uses of each action.

  Photoshop Cs3

This book is great is shows you the in and outs of what photoshop cs3 has to offer.

1. I've read / owned a lot of various photoshop books; most are pretty good, some terrible--> but Scott Kelby's books are always the best.

2. The layout is simple, the language is clear, the steps are clearly written.

3. If you're a photoshop user from beginner up to moderate advanced, this book should be a no-brainer purchase. Anyone with a high level of photoshop knowledge will know everything in this book and thus should look to more indepth tomes.

  Great e-book

For those of us who spend more time than we like on the computer than reading, an e-book like this is a great tool. You can open several windows on your computer while you follow the exercises. You can carry it around on a USB memory device, and not have to worry about fitting it on your bag.
You can have it saved on several computers as well, at home, at work on your movil, and if you need to print a specific page you can. It will also save you space.

  Great book for beginers
Review created: 03/03/08

This book is great for beginners, it teaches you the basics, step by step and covers almost all the thing you need to know to get started, if you have enough experience or have worked with PS2 you would probably need a different (more advanced) book. But if you are looking for the perfect guide to learn how to use the new features this book is right for you.

  Excellent instructional tool for beginners!

Adobe CS3 classroom in a book is a good description of what you get, an excellent instructional book with step by step lesson plans. Each chapter takes about 90 to 120 minutes to complete. A complete beginner would get a tremendous amount out of this resource but the more advanced graphic designer would probably get bored in a short time. The book comes with a CD that contains images and lessons that you can download but the one resource that I came to use extensively weas the online tutorial. Photoshop CS3 is a very powerful software and this book does a good job highlighting basic techniques to more advanced but some of the methodologies left me scratching my head. A lot of the settings they use they give to you randomly but they do not explain how they come to that certain ideal setting, leaving you to guess or figure it out on your own. Complete beginners may struggle with Adobe's glossing over of some materials as mentioned earlier but like I said, go to the tutorials offered on the inside cover for further help. Overall this is an excellent resource to have at all times when working with photoshop elements.
