Across The Universe (Deluxe Edition) (CD)

CD is good and I liked it. However, what wouldv'e made it really good is if there was some actual songs on it being sang by the Beetles themselves.
Some remakes on CD are good and some just average.
But If your a Beetles fan your probably not going to like it as much as you expected. My daughter bought because of the movie.

This is a new and refreshing way to listen to some of the Beatles classics that I grew up with. If you get a chance you should see the movie.

Well - get ready to sing a LOT!!! The newly redone songs by the Beatles will have you humming and singing along. With the movie fresh in our minds, we hurried and ordered the cd. Now the music is STUCK in our heads - and we're having a great time with it! Even Bono is on it :)

OK, so the singing isn't the be all to end all, but it really works for this soundtrack. Excellent job in getting those emotions across and telling such a moving story that brings us right into the upheaval and angst of young people fighting for peace in the turbulent 60's. "Dear Prudence" and "Helter Skelter" were wonderfully crafted. "Hey Jude" took us from sad retrospect into the joy of friends finding each other again. The fact that Beatles music can still impact as much as it does is a testament to the talent and genius of Lennon and McCartney.

The pricing was very competitive, that is what drew me in. The shipping was so fast, I was amazed. The CD itself is terrific, if you are a Beatles fan, and who isn't? This type of Ebayer makes Ebay what it is today...fun to shop...fun to win!
If you do some price comparing, you cannot beat these prices, at least on this CD. I checked on line, Amazon, and Overstock... just a great value.
I thought the shipping was in line with the fast service, not to mention the great communication.

If you like the movie, you will love the CD. An enjoyable CD, it's just like watching the movie. EXCELLENT!

Ok so the movie wasn't all that good but this CD is great! I would have never thought I would have liked it. The Beatles were the best and I didn't think they should mess with their songs. Surprisingly they did such a good job with these songs! They sound great!

I love the entire cd. The movie was excellent as well. It was great to hear some of the Beatles music done in this musical style fashion. Eventhough the majority of the vocals are done by people i have never heard, I think that they were performed extremly well

If you like the movie, you'll like the soundtrack. All tracks are exactly as they are in the movie. Buy it!

When I first hear the music in the movie, Across The Universe, I knew I just had to get the soundtrack. I bought the first soundtrack, but then went ahead and bought the deluxe and it is totally worth it. Not only does it come with more songs, but it is two discs of Beatles classics redone wonderfully.

IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE....DO SO! THEN BUY THE SOUNDTRACK. I LOVED THEM BOTH. I thought maybe it would be a chick flick, but it was not, it was very political, which I love. After I seen it I though, man this would be cool to watch again after I was high, but either way its a great movie. Check it out if you have any doubts, you will not be disapointed. Ok this is suppose to be about the CD so let me say that the CD is just as good as the movie. I have not taken it out of my cd player since I got it 3 weeks ago. I love the beatles, but honestly I think these remakes of the beatles songs are even better.

I decided to buy the soundtrack after seeing the musical/movie. I actually like these versions of the Beatles songs better than the originals!

Unlike most soundtracks, you get every single song from the movie! Even a couple short songs that I did not notice during the movie. Great CD to add to anyone's collection.

The Across the Universe soundtrack was good, but a bit disappointing if you are expecting it to be exactly like the movie. Certain songs sounded much better in the film. Also even on the deluxe album "I want you/she's so heavy" and "why don't we do it in the rain" are missing. I'm not quite sure why they did not make it onto the album. The fact they are missing is a bit disappointing. The voices of the actors/actresses are incredible however especially on "Oh Darling" and "Because". Overall it's a good cd and a great nod to the beatles.

After first watching the movie Across The Universe, I knew I had to own the soundtrack.
I loved the recreation of the classic Beatle hits.
They did justice to the old favorites by adding a new flair.
All in all, I was very pleased by this collection of music.
Also-it's worth the extra dollars to go deluxe.
You receive almost twice the songs, and all the more enjoyment.

Absolutely loved the movie. Fell in love with the newer versions of these classic songs. The fact that the songs play on the soundtrack in the same order that they appear in the film make you relive the movie everytime you listen.

the DLX CD has 32 songs on it yours only had 31 i think.

The movie was amazing, from the begining it is infused with a freshness and the beauty of life. The beatles greatest songs provide insperation to this energetic and mind expanding film and the soundtrack was fantastic. The artistic beauty of the picture and shots as well as the incredible new soundtrack featuring the shows cast singing many of the beatles greatest songs -- This soundtrack makes you want to stand up and cheer. Three cheers for Jude and Lucy, this is an amazing love story...

I couldn't find this item in the store and I didn't want to keep going from store to store to look for it. I popped on ebay and there it was. The price was right so I bought it.

I THINK THE MOVIE WAS FANTASTIC, THE DIRECTOR DID A FABULOUS JOB WITH EVERY SCENE. VERY POWERFUL AND THE BEATLES SONGS COME BCK TO LIFE WITH A FRESH NEW SOUND! I HIGHLY ENDORSE THIS CD. AND WATCH THE FILM AS YOU WONT BELEIVE YOUR EYES!!
