Pros:
Timeless
Cons:
not a one
Lambchops decided to host a music W/O and had the bad taste to actually invite me! I always suspected she was a tad warped..now I have proof! So, this W/O is to be the first album we ever owned. Thank gawd it was the Beatles in my case..this could have been very embarassing... now I'll come off looking like I have taste. heh. So.. let see here. When I was wee, there were various 45s around the house.. Elvis' Teddy Bear and oh hell whos sang Chatanooga Choo choo? I listened to that no end too..but they were'nt mine. I didn't own them. In fact, I didn't own any of my own albums at all until I...

"Once there was a way to get back homeward"

Pros:
Everything. Seriously
Cons:
Absolutely none
Abbey Road was the last album ever recorded by the greatest band of all time, the Beatles. During their relatively short recording career (eight years), the Beatles created 13 albums, almost all of which are serious candidates for the best album of all time. Of these albums, Abbey Road is probably the favourite among fans and critics. After the disastrous Get Back sessions (later released as the Let It Be album), the Beatles proved that they could still make wonderful music together. Part of what makes Abbey Road so unique and unlike anything the Beatles had previously done is the fact that...

Pros:
absolute musical perfection
Cons:
you've got to be kidding...
Earlier this spring, I set myself a goal here at Epinions. Since I've got the summer off, I knew I wanted to try to write more, but I wanted to attach some symbolic significance to the task. It wasn't going to be enough to look back and say, "I wrote a whole bunch over the summer." Nope, I wanted something that I could look back on not only with a sense of pride, but also with a raised eyebrow and a thought of, "good God, was I insane?" Thus was born my quest to write a brand new review for every single day in the month of July. Yeah, I know it'd be so much easier if I had done this backing...

A Fitting End To A Brilliant Career As A Band
Review created: 11/13/00

Pros:
Their greatest achievement
Cons:
Absolutely none
Abbey Road, released on September 26, 1969, was the last album recorded by the Beatles, and although Let It Be hit the shelves in 1970, that album was recorded before Abbey Road. During their legendary career as a band, the Beatles recorded several albums which could be described as masterpieces, but in my opinion, Abbey Road tops the list. Abbey Road presents the listener with a virtual audio montage of music that is as varied as anything the Beatles ever recorded. Many of the songs should be placed into context by the things that were happening with the band at the time the album was...

"And In The End, The Love You Take Is Equal To The Love You Make"
Review created: 07/19/02

Pros:
A Fitting & Powerful Final Chapter from the Beatles.
Cons:
None.
Since their age of dominance that began in 1962, no group before or since then had garnered more power, acclaim, and influence phenomenally than the Beatles. Through their catalog of pop classics including twenty-seven number one singles worldwide, and groundbreaking albums like Revolver , Rubber Soul , and Sgt. Pepper s Lonely Hearts Club Band . By that time, the Beatles could do no wrong. All that changed in August of 1967 when the band s manager Brian Epstein died of a drug overdose where many Beatle historians claimed was the beginning of the end for the band. Following Brian Epstein s...
