Pros:
Blend of influences makes it difficult to know where Sellers belongs musically. Two tremendous songs.
Cons:
Usage of slip notes doesn't work, music is all over the board, but not consistent.
This review was originally posted on October 7, 2000. I have kept it unchanged, and am reposting it in its original form. (Yes, this marks the beginning of my return to the music review category.) When Jason Sellers was growing up in Gilmer, Texas, he knew one thing for sure about his life music was his calling and first love. In his sophomore project A Matter of Time, Jason demonstrates his love for the soulful sounds of music as he combines the feel of Bonnie Rait with that of John Conlee to produce an album with a feel of vitality and emotion that is somewhat delightful. Sellers, who began.
