Do you remember how it felt when you heard your very first Elvis tune? Of course you don't. Nobody does. I don't even know what the first Elvis tune I ever heard even was. I presume, given that my Mom and her sisters were unrepentant fans of the King that it might well have been It's Now Or Never, since Elvis hit the charts with that number a week or so after I was born. But I was definitely a late-comer to the Elvis fan club since he'd already nailed a string of hits starting from Heartbreak Hotel back in January 1956 --- before my time. I'd like to think that Mom and clan were playing Elvis.
